The Ben Doran Hotel

The hotel lies in its own sheltered seven acre garden setting in the mountain village of Tyndrum. All round Alpine views with a mountain stream running past. The gardens have several lily ponds and extensive lawns which are a haven for wildlife and provide the setting for the Head Gardener’s spectacular flower shows from spring through summer till late autumn.

The hotel with its beautifully kept and sparkling exterior, has a fantastic glazed entrance which provides all year round colour and plants - the summer show is stunning. All bedrooms are large with open views and have en-suite facilities throughout. There is a TV, hair dryer and tea maker in every room. Furnishings are modern and tasteful.

Uniquely the hotel has its dining room and lounges on the top floor, giving spectacular views across the glens and mountains. The hotel is served by three lifts and also has a billiard room and a fantastic dance floor. Lots of paintings and flowers and plants all round the public areas. A beautiful hotel designed and built by myself in 1992.
