Are there toilets on the coaches?

None of our coaches require toilets, as the driver will make a comfort stop about every 2 hrs.

Can I bring a scooter?

We can accept 1 scooter per coach, subject to certain criteria, see terms and conditions.

Can we book the front seats on the coach?

Sorry, no.  Seats are allocated in order of booking.

Can I sit near to the front of the coach?

We can put a request in for you, but seats are allocated in order of booking.

Can I sit on the kerb side?

Yes, I will request this for you, but cannot guarantee.

Do you still do seat rotation?

Yes, it gives everyone a day near the front of the coach.

Why is there a single supplement?

1, Single rooms would be taken up by groups who do not “need” them, and you would thereby not be able to travel with us.

2, A single room has 80% of the overheads of a twin/double room.

How long do we have at each place we visit?

It varies considerably, but is adequate.

Can we have a table for 2 in the dining room?

Yes, where and when possible.

Can we have rooms close together?

Yes, where and when possible.

Can we have a room on the ground floor?

Yes, where possible.

Does the Hotel have a gym or swimming pool?

The Alexandra Hotel has a large swimming pool.

Do you have family rooms?

Each hotel has one triple-bedded room, this is subject to availability.

Does the Hotel have a lift?

Yes, all our Hotels have modern, well-maintained lifts.

Where is my nearest pick-up?

Give me your post code and I can check on our system for you.

Is there a feeder coach?

We operate a link coach from your area to the Borders.  In 2017 a Highland Heritage coach will take you all the way to your hotel from your pick up point and return you home.

How long does the journey take?

It depends on where you are picked up, but the coach will aim to be at your hotel round about 5 - 6pm.

Can I bring a wheelchair?

Yes, as long as it is a folding one.  Just let us know at the time of booking so that we send you an extra luggage label.

Do you cater for people on a gluten-free diet?

Yes, we make a note at the time of booking, but just make sure you inform the manager on arrival, and waiting staff in the dining room.

Do you cater for vegetarians?

Yes, there is always a vegetarian option on the menu.

What happens if we don’t want to go out on a day tour?

You are welcome to have a day at leisure, just inform the manager or receptionist so they can let the driver know.

What is included in the price?

Dinner, bed & breakfast and evening entertainment in every hotel, and an excursion every day (except on optional tour days or day of leisure).

Do I have to bring a hairdryer?

No, all our bedrooms have one.

Can I book a walk-in-shower?

It varies by hotel.

There is a sticker saying “Don’t forget your fancy dress” on your letter.  Do we have to dress up?

It is completely up to the individual.  Some people just wear a funny hat, others a full costume.  We have “fancy dress” on spring and autumn tours.

When do I have to pay the balance of my account?

Your account is posted 4 weeks prior to departure.

Are there tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms?

Yes, in every room there is a hospitality tray which varies by hotel.

Does the hotel provide toiletries, etc?

Yes, varying by hotel.

Will I be picked up from my house?

No, you will make your way to your local designated pick up point where you will meet our coach, as detailed in our correspondence with you.
