All the Hotels enjoy spectacular Highland settings and have been assessed by the Scottish Tourist Board to be at the very top of their 3 Star classification. Everywhere you care to look has a 'million dollar' view. The lochs, hills, sea lochs, coastal areas, mountains, moors and small towns are radically different from anywhere else in Scotland. The difference between the seasons is spectacular and delightful. The light changes, and you are in a different place, it is a photographers' heaven. The Royal (Prefix-R), Ben Doran (Prefix-B), Dalmally (Prefix-D) and Highland (Prefix-H) hotels are grouped over 17miles in the Glen Orchy / Strathfillan area. Not only do they enjoy an unbelievably beautiful setting, they are also ideally placed for exploring the delights of Western and Central Scotland.

Alexandra Hotel   3 Star

The Alexandra Hotel (prefix-A) enjoys one of the most spectacular situations in Scotland. It rests between the lodgings of the Bishop of Argyll and the Isles and a beautiful white church. The views across Oban Bay to the isles and the spectacular port are a constant joy and a thrill. Sunsets on a spectacular scale are enjoyed most evenings.

The hotel has a very substantial Victorian shell but inside everything is double glazed space age with a complete rebuilding of the interior. There is a lift to all floors (some steps). The bedrooms are beautifully furnished, decorated and carpeted with ensuite facilities throughout. TVs, heated towel rails, tea makers and great divan beds. The one acre of grounds are beautifully kept and a sea of seasonal flowers. The public areas enjoy fantastic views with every comfort. There is a large entertainment lounge with dance floor and bar. It adjoins the inviting and really beautiful swimming pool.

The hotel is presided over by Bryan who has been with me for sixteen years (he was a boy!), Bryan is smooth and efficient and will do anything for you (nearly anything).A great place to stay.

This hotel has a different tour schedule and price structure to the four hotels above with these excursions making the most if it's idyllic location, breathtaking scenery and focal points. This is an experience which you would never forget and which everyone who enjoys, treasures for all their days.
